interview venue 30 kms away from earlier which was in diagonally opposite
direction (Central railway to trans Harbour railway) just 2 hour before
schedule and all our 4 candidates of middle management cadre attend the
interview at new venue as per scheduled time.
It also completes the circle and keeps the scope for next, when a Search
Consultant communicates with each and every candidate irrespective of CV is not
shortlisted or candidature is not finalized in final round of interviews.

When an Italian MNC in India operating
for last ten years through its agency network wanted to strengthen its wings by
going independently, one of our satisfied customer and a JV partner for certain
products of the Italian MNC, strongly recommended our name. Accordingly, they assigned
its Executive Search mandate to Resume Management on exclusive basis. In
almost a month’s time we successfully placed a “GM – Sales & Service” with them.
Considering our Professional Approach and competencies in HR Management as well,
this client assigned us to build their HR Policies & Manuals, too.
It’s a real ‘feather in our cap’
moment for Team Resume & looking for many such feathers to add on very

Learning
of the Week – Delegation of Authority
One of our Semi-Startup client, who
had hired a COO a year back and who had proved himself, is still waiting for an
authority to recruit his team in the operations. The situation has arrived where
the Promoter will be out of action due to medical issues and probably the
company operations will also suffer partially, as the COO cannot take the routine
staffing decisions.

Resume Management Consultants has established its roots in Manufacturing segment and has been successfully closing the positions before the decided TAT.
Effective Business networking can enable us to acquire the opportunities, this is what we, at Resume experienced last week. One of our well nurtured and satisfied client introduced us a gateway to a Hospitality segment to identify a Club Manager for one of their ambitious project. Though it was a challenge as we never catered to this industry before, we could identify the right candidate and could close the position in 5 working days.
Understanding the Hospitality industry was a great experience. During this process we all team members studied the Hospitality industry thoroughly and the types of requirements the industry has…so now we are confident to take over hospitality segment as well.
Once again maintaining effective relationship with candidate and client plays vital role in success of any executive search professional’s career. One of the managerial candidate for Automation Project who couldn’t accept the offer in December 2017 due to his family priorities, but with whom our team member had maintained good rapport, after resolving his issues we could successfully bring this candidate on board now.
We at RESUME constantly keep upgrading our skills too. Two of our Team Members were assessed on their HR competencies and a roadmap was designed for their learning & future development/growth.

As usual a new week and new challenges..
Considering the competency of doing focused Headhunting, our colleague Mr Rajesh Kulkarni was invited by a client who had plans to start a new product line. For this, they wanted technical professional from a specific company. From the date of the brief to identification to interview to offer took just 5 working days for successfully closing the mandate.
Along with new mandates from new clients, retention of existing client is equally important in every business. In this week, the client with whom alongwith COO we placed more than 10 key technical professionals in the last 9 months, gave us the search mandate for 15 + critical technical staffing requirements.
Reference Business is a Business Model of Resume since it’s inception. We can say it’s a Butterfly Effect. So it happened last week as well. Along with growing Executive Search / Head Hunting Business Resume is also building up it’s HR Solutions Business..... & Butterfly Effect our one satisfied Client in this area gave us a lead or a sort of Assignment on Platter with in his group of entrepreneurs.
Learning of the week – Though we always wish that every Mandate should be closed as quickly as possible, but it doesn’t happen every time, along with our competency, client’s internal dynamics and processes plays a key role in selection. One of our Client a German MNC which anytime has more than 100 Projects under execution on Pan India basis with Permanent & Contractual Head Count of 2000 + Technical People …… to search a Corporate Industrial Relations Head it took us more than 6 months.

Success of Executive Search Business depends on and directly proportionate with number of joinees rather than number of selections every week. However every business has a top line and bottom line so do the Executive Search Business as well. It is equally important to have a healthy pipeline of clients and candidates.
For us @ Resume this week was busy with 40-45 active positions / mandates from various clients. Most of the requirements are highly technical and critical for which we have touch based with approx. 100 potential candidates. Our focus is to complete the interview process and close these positions by end of this month.
If you commit your client that you’ll do something, you need to demonstrate you can deliver on your words with actions.
We @ Resume strongly believe in “Nurturing great business relationships with the clients” is most important and it is all about trust, and to earn trust your actions need to align with your words.
We are in a business where we have to deal with human minds on which we don’t have a control.
Can you imagine…
A candidate at a senior level declining an offer of a reputed client just because the compensation structure was 80 / 20 inspite of getting a 40% raise with an assured Variable for 1st year, only because he was getting 90/10 in his earlier assignment. His adamant attitude costs him an excellent opportunity and also financial losses.
